Robert P. Hanlon – CFP® and Founder of RPH Financial Services Inc. Robert P. Hanlon, Jr. CFP®, is a Professional with a Master’s Degree in financial planning and 33 years of experience in collaborating with clients in an endeavor to achieve their goals. Robert’s financial philosophy is based on the belief that coaching each client through an Individualized Life Plan (ILP) lends them to being better equipped with the tools and perspective necessary to realize their life plan, regardless of life changing events, market fluctuations, or other future uncertainties.
Mr. Hanlon graduated from West Virginia University. He became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, after studying at the College for Financial Planning in 1987. Bob was an Adjunct Faculty Member from 1990-1992 at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was an Accredited Instructor on Pensions and Charitable Plan Giving at The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. After many years in the Financial Planning industry, he achieved his Master of Science in Financial Services in May of 1997 from The American College. Mr. Hanlon’s professional accomplishments include being listed in Who’s Who in American Business and Finance since 1995 and he has been featured in trade journals such as the Journal of Financial Planning with focus on value added services provided to clients. He was inducted into Medical Economics’ Top 250 Financial Planners in the country. He was admitted into The Registry of Financial Planning Practitioners in 1992. Bob has also made numerous appearances on CNBC discussing various investment topics. Mr. Hanlon provides various educational briefings to the Senior Executives at several Fortune 100 corporations on topics such as Executive Compensation Programs and Employee Benefit Plans.
Bob completed an intensive 1 year internship in 2017 at The Kinder Institute to hone his skills in Life Planning and became a Registered Life Planner ®. An RLP helps to discover a client's deepest and most profound goals through a mindfulness-based process of structured and non-judgmental inquiry. By using a mix of professional and advanced relationship skills, Life Planners inspire clients to pursue their aspirations, discuss and resolve obstacles, create and/or adjust a concrete financial plan, and provide ongoing guidance as clients accomplish their objectives.
